Good to know

  • Codes need to be used within a year of buying.
  • If they already have a Gan Far plan, your gift time is added to the end of it.

Questions

How does a gift code work?

After you pay, you get a code by email. You send it to the person you're giving it to, or choose to have it emailed straight to them. They sign in at ganfar.co.uk/redeem, enter the code, and the time you chose is added to their account.

What if they don't have an account?

They can make one when they enter the code. Gan Far runs in the browser, so there's nothing to download.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. You can have a full refund within 14 days of buying, as long as the code hasn't been redeemed. Email help@ganfar.co.uk with your order details. The £3 digital voucher fee is non-refundable. Refunds reach your account within 5 working days.

What if they already have a Gan Far plan?

The gift time is added to the end of their current plan. Nothing is lost.

Is it a subscription?

No. A gift is a one-off payment for the time you choose. It doesn't renew by itself.

How long does the code last?

Codes must be redeemed within a year of the day you buy. Once redeemed, the time runs from the redemption date (or the end of their current plan).

What if they're not very techy?

It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to download. It works on any phone, tablet or computer. Gan Far is designed to be simple for all ages.

Do I send the gift to them, or do you?

Either. Have the code or voucher sent to you and pass it on yourself, so you choose the day and the way, whether that's a card, a message or under the tree. Or give us their email address and the gift goes straight to them, with your name and message. You always get a copy of the code too.

What if they have free-for-life access?

Some early members have Gan Far free for life. If they redeem a gift, the years are added to their account as extra years. If their free access is ever cancelled, they still have the gift years.

What's the difference between the two options?

The code by email is just the code. The digital voucher is the same code on a designed PDF you can send or print.

When do I need to order for Christmas?

Nothing is posted, so there's no cut-off. The code and digital voucher arrive by email within minutes, even on Christmas Eve.

What does Gan Far do?

It's a travel map. Count the countries you've visited, plan trips, keep a wishlist, add photos and compare maps with friends. There is no background location tracking, and family profiles are private by default.
